Issued 3:30 PM ADT 21 September 2017 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today Tropical Storm Jose 985 mb located at
39.5N 68.0W.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Friday weakening Tropical Storm Jose 988 mb
located at 39.6N 69.1W.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday ridge located from the Gaspe Peninsula
to Banquereau.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:35 PM ADT 21 September 2017 Strong to gale force easterlies will continue to affect southwestern
waters tonight as tropical storm Jose lies southwest of Georges Bank.
Winds will diminish slightly on Friday as Jose slowly weakens and
drifts away from the district. Marine interests are advised that gale
warnings are in effect for Browns Bank, Georges Bank, LaHave Bank and
West Scotian Slope.

At 3:30 PM ADT tropical storm Jose is located near 39.5 north
And 68.0 west, or about 140 nautical miles southeast of Cape Cod.
Minimum central pressure is 985 MB and maximum sustained winds are 50
knots. Jose is currently quasi-stationary.

Long period swells from Jose will continue to affect the Atlantic
coastline of Nova Scotia and the Fundy coastline of New Brunswick.
These should very slowly diminish on Friday.
