Issued 3:00 AM ADT 28 October 2016 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today deepening low 1013 mb located near Long
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday low 1000 mb located southeast of Cape
Breton Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM ADT 28 October 2016 A deepening low pressure system near Long Island early this morning
will pass over the southwestern shore marine area overnight to
eventually lie southeast of Cape Breton Island Saturday evening.
Gale force east to southeast winds will develop ahead of the low and
could possibly approach storm force over the eastern half of the
district tonight and Saturday. Over the Gulf of St Lawrence waters,
easterly winds developing later today are currently expected to
remain just below gale force.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East
Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
