Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:51 AM AST 28 February 2017 A trough of low pressure east of the marine district will continue to
move off into the Atlantic. Strong to gale force westerlies in its
wake will diminish today ahead of an approaching ridge of high
pressure. On Wednesday an intense low pressure system will track from
the Great Lakes region to the Gaspé Peninsula. Strong to gale force
south to southwest winds will develop ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
