Issued 8:31 PM ADT 17 April 2024 A deepening low pressure system east of Newfoundland will bringstrong to gale force northerly winds to eastern waters on Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fourchu, Banquereau and Cabot Strait.
Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery.
Thursday..Winds northerly 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 in the
afternoon. Sea state 1 to 2 metres.
Friday..Northwesterly 20 to 25 knots diminishing to 15 in the morning
and to light later in the day. Sea state 1 to 2 metres diminishing to
1 or less.
