Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM ADT 18 April 2015 Today Tonight and Sunday At noon ADT today departing trough located south of the Marine
District.

At 9:00 p.m. ADT tonight deepening low 1011 mb located over the
Gulf of Maine.
By 3:00 p.m. ADT Sunday departing low 1000 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:11 AM ADT 18 April 2015 A low pressure centre is expected to develop over the Gulf of Maine
this evening and deepen as it moves to lie just south of the
Laurentian Fan Sunday afternoon. Light winds become moderate to
strong southeasterly ahead of the low. Northerly gales are expected
in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank.. West Scotian Slope.. East Scotian Slope and
Laurentian Fan.

Outlook for the start up of the eastern shore lobster fishery.

Today..Wind northwest 15 to 20 knots diminishing to northwest 10 to
15 early this afternoon. Northwesterly winds gusting to 25 knots
Will persist over Chedabucto bay into the evening before diminishing
to light.

Sunday..Winds north 20 to 25 knots diminishing to north 15 near noon
Sunday.

Monday..Winds variable 10 to 15 knots.
