Issued 3:30 PM AST 9 February 2016 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 994 mb located northeast of Cape
Breton Island.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight dissipating low 990 mb located over
southeastern Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today deepening low 990 mb located southwest of
Georges Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Wednesday departing low 982 mb located over
southern Banquereau.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:23 PM AST 9 February 2016 An intense low pressure system near the Southwest Coast of
Newfoundland will move to lie over the Avalon Peninsula this evening
as it weakens. Gale to storm force northeasterlies north of the
Low shift to gale to storm force westerlies south of the system.
Another low pressure system will rapidly cross slope waters tonight
into Wednesday morning. Another period of gale to storm force winds
are forecast with this second low.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope southeastern
Half..Laurentian Fan northwestern half..Cabot Strait..
Gulf-Magdalen..And Anticosti.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Northumberland
Strait..Gulf-Magdalen..Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
