Issued 8:06 PM ADT 28 March 2024 A stationary trough sits over the region today. An area of lowpressure will approach from the southwest on Friday. Strong to gale
force southwesterly winds ahead of the low will veer to gale to storm
force west or northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank and West Scotian Slope. Gale warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, and East Scotian Slope - western
half.
