Issued 3:00 AM AST 28 February 2017 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough located over Banquereau.
By 10:00 a.m. AST today departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday low 990 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday low 984 mb located over the Gaspe
Peninsula.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:10 AM AST 28 February 2017 A trough of low pressure over Banquereau will continue to move off to
the east today. Strong to gale force westerlies in the wake of the
trough will diminish today ahead of an approaching ridge of high
pressure. On Wednesday an intense low pressure system will track from
the Great Lakes region to the Gaspé Peninsula. Strong to gale force
south to southwest winds will develop ahead of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Northumberland Strait and
Chaleur-Miscou.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
