Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 961 mb located northeast of
Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday approaching ridge located over New
England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:27 PM AST 9 December 2016 A low pressure system east of Newfoundland will continue to intensify
as it tracks northeastward tonight. In the wake of the low, strong to
gale force northwesterlies will continue until Saturday morning.

Temperatures will continue to drop in the strong northwesterly flow
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence tonight. Freezing spray will develop
overnight and continue on Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope and Laurentian Fan - southern half. Marine
interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in effect
for Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti.
