of East Scotian Slope.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Friday intensifying low 992 mb located over
Laurentian Fan.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Friday departing low located over southeastern
Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM AST 8 December 2016 A low pressure system south of East Scotian Slope will intensify as
it tracks northeastward to lie east of the district Friday morning.
In the wake of the low, winds will increase to strong to gale force
northwesterlies.

Strong to gale force northwesterlies and cold air will persist
throughout the weekend. Freezing spray warnings may be required for
parts of the marine district this weekend.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope, Banquereau and Laurentian Fan.
