Issued 3:00 AM AST 19 January 2017 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1000 mb located south of Georges Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight intensifying low 994 mb located south of
East Scotian Slope.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Friday deepening low 988 mb located southeast of
Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday low 974 mb located south of the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today quasi-stationary ridge located over the
northern Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM AST 19 January 2017 A deepening low south of Georges Bank will track eastward to lie
south of Laurentian Fan this evening, then will curve towards the
Grand Banks of Newfoundland on Friday. This low is giving strong
easterlies to southern waters, which will increase on Friday to gale
to possibly storm force northerlies over eastern waters.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau-eastern half and Laurentian Fan.
