Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:50 PM AST 18 November 2017 A low pressure system developing near Southern Ontario will approach
the region tonight to lie over the Gaspé Peninsula by Sunday evening.
Strengthening southerly winds ahead of this system are expected
To reach gale force over most waters on Sunday. On Sunday afternoon
southerly gales over extreme southwest waters could possibly reach
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Banquereau and Laurentian Fan.
Marine interests are also advised that higher than normal water
levels can be expected near high tide Sunday afternoon for the Bay of
Chaleur, the gulf coast from Miramichi north, and eastern facing
coastlines of the Gaspé Peninsula. Storm surge and waves are expected
to impact those areas Sunday afternoon possibly causing minor
