Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:21 AM AST 18 November 2017 A low pressure system over the Eastern Gulf of St Lawrence will move
eastward across Newfoundland today. Strong to gale force west to
northwest winds affecting most waters this morning will gradually
diminish later today as the low moves away.

Another low pressure system developing south of the Great Lakes later
today will approach the region tonight to lie over the Gaspé
Peninsula by Sunday evening. Strengthening south to southeast winds
ahead of this second low are expected to reach gale force over most
western waters on Sunday. On Sunday afternoon southerly gales over
extreme southwest waters could possibly reach storm force over those
areas.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy.

Marine interests are also advised that higher than normal water
levels can be expected near high tide Sunday afternoon for the Bay of
Chaleur as well as the gulf coast from Miramichi north, as storm
surge and waves are expected to impact those areas at that time
possibly causing minor flooding.
