Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:25 PM NDT 24 August 2016 A low pressure system over the southern portion of Baffin Island will
continue to move northwestwards away from the marine district
tonight. Meanwhile, a trough extending southeastward from the low
over the East Labrador Sea will depart the region late this evening.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies over the East Labrador Sea ahead
of the trough will diminish to moderate to strong southerlies in its
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for the
East Labrador Sea.
