north-south over Hecate Strait.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today low 1009 mb located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Friday low 1013 mb located over central Bowie.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday dissipating low 1020 mb located over
Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:06 AM PST 29 January 2015 Strong to gale force southeasterlies over Hecate Strait and Dixon
Entrance East will gradually ease this morning as a cold front
weakens over Hecate Strait.

An approaching low pressure centre west of Explorer this morning will
track across Bowie tonight and then reach Hecate Strait Friday
afternoon. Strong to gale force southerlies over central and northern
waters will develop tonight to the south of the low. Strong to gale
force northeasterlies will develop tonight to the north of the low.
Winds will ease Friday evening.
