northern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Sunday dissipating ridge located on a line
north-south over northern Vancouver Island.
At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight weakening frontal system located on a
line northeast-southwest over northern Hecate Strait.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT Sunday trough located off Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Sunday weakening trough located on a line
north-south over eastern Bowie.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:43 AM PDT 1 May 2016 Southeast gales will persist today over Northern Hecate Strait and
the eastern portions of Dixon Entrance in the wake of a front and
ease this evening.
An approaching trough of low pressure will track northwards across
Bowie tonight. Ahead of the trough, southeasterly gales will develop
off the west coast of Haida Gwaii this evening and diminish early
