Issued 9:30 PM PDT 30 April 2016 Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
northern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Sunday dissipating ridge located on a line
north-south over northern Vancouver Island.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight weakening frontal system located on a
line northeast-southwest over northern Hecate Strait.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Sunday trough located off Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Sunday weakening trough located on a line
north-south over eastern Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:04 PM PDT 30 April 2016 A ridge of high pressure on a north to south line over Northern
Vancouver Island will gradually dissipate Sunday. Meanwhile, a
frontal system on a north to south line over Hecate Strait will
weaken overnight. Gale force southeast winds over the far north will
slowly ease tonight as the front weakens but southeast gales will
persist through Sunday afternoon over Northern Hecate Strait and the
eastern portions of Dixon Entrance.
