Issued 10:30 AM PDT 18 April 2015 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Cape St. James.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Sunday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over eastern Queen Charlotte Sound.

At 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located over northwestern
Bowie.
By 11:00 p.m. PDT Sunday approaching frontal system located on a
line north-south over southern Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:29 AM PDT 18 April 2015 A ridge of high pressure in a north to south line near cape St. James
this morning will shift very slowly eastward today and Sunday to lie
through McInnes Island and Cape Scott by late Sunday evening. A
frontal system approaching from the Pacific will reach western
Bowie by this afternoon. The front will then remain over Bowie on
Sunday edging eastward only very slowly.

Moderate to strong northwest winds will prevail over most areas east
of the ridge. Winds ease to light near the ridge and back to moderate
to strong southerly in its wake. The approaching front will bring
gale force southerlies over the northern offshore waters and off
Northwestern Haida Gwaii today and tonight.
