Issued 9:30 PM PST 24 February 2017 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight quasi-stationary high 1044 mb located at
50N 155W.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday deepening low 1020 mb located off the
Alaska panhandle.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Saturday deepening low 1008 mb located over
Cape Scott.

At 10:00 p.m. PST Saturday building ridge located over northern
BC interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:29 PM PST 24 February 2017 A 1045 millibar high will remain west of the offshore waters. A low
pressure centre will develop near the Alaska Panhandle Saturday
morning. The low will deepen as it moves southeastward along the
coast on Saturday, deepening to about 1008 millibars as it reaches
Cape Scott Saturday evening.

Widespread northerly gales will develop over most northern waters by
Saturday morning and will spread to the waters off the west coast of
Vancouver Island Saturday night. In addition, strong to gale force
northeast outflow winds will develop through the Northern Mainland
inlets Saturday night.
