Issued 9:30 PM PST 6 December 2016 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located over
BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday deepening frontal system located
southwest of Explorer.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Wednesday deepening frontal system located over
southwestern Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:42 PM PST 6 December 2016 A strong Arctic ridge of high pressure will remain over the BC
Interior. Gale force outflow winds are occurring through mainland
inlets with generally light to moderate winds elsewhere. Cold
temperatures from the Arctic outflow winds will give a risk of
moderate freezing spray near the mainland inlets.

A strong frontal system will approach Explorer late Wednesday
afternoon. Gale force southeasterlies will develop ahead of the
Low and gradually move into West Vancouver Island marine regions
overnight Wednesday.
