northwest winds over portions of the southern waters today will
weaken tonight. Winds will lower slightly to moderate to strong
A frontal wave over Northern Bowie is giving southeast gale force
winds to areas northwest of Haida Gwaii late this morning. Winds will
abate this evening.
On Saturday morning, a cold front will develop over Queen Charlotte
Sound and move southeast across the South Coast. In its wake, strong
to gale force northwest winds will develop Saturday afternoon over
southern waters. A ridge building behind the cold front late Saturday
afternoon will enhance the winds through Juan de Fuca Strait Saturday
evening to westerly gale force.
