Issued 4:00 PM PDT 27 April 2015 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today deepening low 993 mb located southwest
of Explorer.
By 11:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday departing low 981 mb located over the
southern Alaska panhandle.

At 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight cold front located on a line north-south
over central Explorer.
By noon PDT Tuesday departing cold front located over the Lower
Mainland.

At 11:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday building ridge located on a line
north-south over Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:37 AM PDT 27 April 2015 A 990 millibar low in the Northern Gulf of Alaska will slowly weaken
today. A second low will deepen rapidly as it moves northward toward
Explorer today, across Haida Gwaii tonight and eventually move
rapidly up the Alaska Panhandle Tuesday.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies ahead of the second low will
reach storm force tonight over most central and northern waters
As the low approaches. Winds will shift rapidly to gale to storm
force westerly in its wake by Tuesday morning with local hurricane
force winds expected over parts of Explorer and Queen Charlotte
Sound. Winds will remain moderate to strong over the far south.
