Issued 4:00 AM PST 17 December 2014 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. PST today weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today trough located over Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located on a line north-south over
Hecate Strait.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located off the offshore
By 4:00 p.m. PST Thursday frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Queen Charlotte Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:29 AM PST 17 December 2014 A trough of low pressure over Bowie this morning will move to lie
over Hecate Strait this afternoon. Then an approaching Pacific
Front will move into the offshore waters tonight and will lie more or
less along the outer coast by late Thursday afternoon.

Winds will rise to strong to gale force southeast ahead of the
incoming trough over most northern and central waters today. Winds
over central and northern waters will increase further to storm force
tonight as the Pacific front approaches. Winds will rise to strong to
gale force southeast over southern sections on Thursday. In addition,
outflow winds will rise to gale force near Portland Inlet later
