Wind west 25 to 35 knots except west 15 to 25 over northwestern sections. Wind becoming west 25 this evening then backing to southwest 15 to 20 late overnight. Wind backing to south 5 to 15 early Monday morning then increasing to southeast 20 to 30 near noon Monday except southeast 40 over southwestern sections. Wind becoming southeast 25 to 35 Monday afternoon except southeast 50 over southern sections. Wind increasing to southeast 45 to 55 Monday evening except southwest 40 over southwestern sections.

By 4:00 p.m. PST Monday ridge located over BC interior.
At 4:00 p.m. PST Monday deepening low located off Bowie.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:22 PM PST 21 December 2014 A trough of low pressure over the offshore waters late this afternoon
will move across Haida Gwaii this evening. Strong to local gale force
southwest winds ahead of the trough will veer to strong westerlies
behind the trough.
A ridge of high pressure will bring light winds to southern waters on
Monday, while an approaching low will give gale to storm force winds
to the offshore waters by afternoon. These winds will spread to most
central and northern waters Monday evening.
