By 10:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday ridge located over Queen Charlotte Sound
extending southward.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight weakening frontal system located on a
line north-south over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 10:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday dissipating frontal system located on
a line north-south over southern Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 PM PDT 2 May 2016 A building ridge of high pressure offshore will bring strong to gale
force westerlies to Juan de Fuca Strait overnight and again late
Tuesday. Northwest gales will also develop over Johnstone Strait
Tuesday afternoon.
