Issued 9:30 AM NST 3 March 2015 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today deepening low 953 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 952 mb located southeast of
Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Wednesday trough located on a line east-west over
the South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:27 AM NST 3 March 2015 An intense low pressure system over the Funk Island Bank will
continue to deepen and track northeastward southeast of the Labrador
Sea today. Gale to storm force northerlies and northeasterlies north
of this feature will spread northeastward across southern portions of
the marine district today. Storm to gale force northwesterlies will
diminish tonight and Wednesday in the lows wake.

A trough of low pressure will also strengthen over the Northwest
Labrador Sea today while remaining quasi-stationary. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will develop west of this trough today.
These winds will ease tonight as the trough drifts southeastward and
weakens.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville and the Northwest Labrador Sea - northeastern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all open waters.
