Issued 4:00 PM NST 26 January 2015 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 950 mb located northeast of Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday low 970 mb located east of Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough from 950 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the South Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday trough from 970 mb low located east of
Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday ridge located over Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 PM NST 26 January 2015 An intense low pressure system northeast of the East Labrador Sea
will continue to track northeastwards away from the marine district.
Storm force westerlies southwest of its track will shift to gale to
hurricane force northwesterlies in its wake. Winds will then diminish
to strong to gale force northwesterlies over most waters tonight.

Additionally, a trough of low pressure from this low through the
South Labrador Sea to the Mid Labrador Coast will move southeastward
tonight to lie east of the Labrador Sea by Tuesday morning. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies will intensify to storm force this evening
over southern sections of the South Labrador Sea under the influence
of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for the East Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Lake Melville and the South Labrador
Coast. A gale warning is in effect for the South Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all open waters.
