Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 18 November 2017 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. NST today departing trough located northwest of the
Marine District.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 990 mb located over the Grand Banks.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday low located east of Funk Island Bank.

By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday quasi-stationary trough from low located
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 PM NST 18 November 2017 A trough of low pressure northwest of the marine district will
continue westwards this evening. Strong to gale force northeasterly
winds over northern waters in the wake of this feature will diminish
tonight as the trough moves away.

Meanwhile, a complex area of low pressure south of the marine
district will continue its slow northeastwards track tonight.
Gale force northeasterlies over southeastern waters will continue
into Monday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea - southern half.
