Issued 9:30 PM NST 25 February 2017 Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located south of Greenland.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday departing trough located south of Greenland.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Coast.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the East Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 986 mb located southeast
of James Bay.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday intensifying low 975 mb located over
western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 PM NST 25 February 2017 A trough of low pressure south of Greenland will remain nearly
stationary tonight and begin to weaken on Sunday. Meanwhile, a ridge
of high pressure along the Labrador coast will move out over western
portions of the Labrador Sea this evening. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies over the East Labrador Sea will diminish by Sunday
morning as the ridge moves eastward.

A very intense low pressure system will move over Western Labrador on
Sunday and over the Labrador Sea Sunday night. Gale force
southeasterly winds will spread across all waters on Sunday ahead of
this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
