Issued 9:30 PM NDT 24 August 2016 Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 995 mb located over southern Baffin
Island.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing low 994 mb located over western
Hudson Strait.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing trough located northeast of
the East Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:25 PM NDT 24 August 2016 A low pressure system over the southern portion of Baffin Island will
continue to move northwestwards away from the marine district
tonight. Meanwhile, a trough extending southeastward from the low
over the East Labrador Sea will depart the region late this evening.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies over the East Labrador Sea ahead
of the trough will diminish to moderate to strong southerlies in its
wake.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for the
East Labrador Sea.
