Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 31 May 2016 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 1000 mb located near the Strait of
Belle Isle.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday departing low 1004 mb located over
eastern Funk Island Bank.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight trough located on a line north-south over
the East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:25 PM NDT 31 May 2016 A low pressure system will continue to move away to the southeast
tonight and Wednesday. A trough extending from the low through the
East Labrador Sea will slowly pivot eastward throughout the forecast
period. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop over most
waters behind the trough late tonight and Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Labrador coast, South Labrador Sea - northwestern half and Northwest
Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
