Issued 4:00 PM NST 25 December 2014 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying low 972 mb located over
central Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday low 960 mb located south of Ungava Bay.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough from low located on a line east-west
over Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday trough from low located on a line
northwest-southeast over northern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:02 PM NST 25 December 2014 An intense low pressure system is forecast to track through Central
Quebec tonight to lie south of Ungava Bay by Friday afternoon.
Ahead of this system, strong to gale force east to southeasterly
winds will develop tonight over all waters. Additionally, a warm
frontal trough will move across the Labrador Sea from south to north
tonight and Friday. Ahead of this trough, the winds will increase to
storm force over northern waters overnight tonight and Friday. Behind
this trough, winds will shift to strong to gale force southerlies.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador
Sea - northern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador coast.
