By 4:00 p.m. NDT Sunday low 979 mb located north of the St. Lawrence

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight intensifying trough from low located over
the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Sunday trough from low located on a line east-west
over the Great Northern Peninsula.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:09 PM NDT 22 October 2016 A low pressure system over New England will deepen as it tracks
northward into Quebec tonight. Meanwhile, an associated trough
extending east from the low is forecast to track across Newfoundland
tonight and stall over the Belle Isle Bank by Sunday evening. Strong
to gale force northeasterlies ahead of these systems will spread
across the marine district tonight and Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South
Labrador Sea.
