Flurries beginning near noon Tuesday. Visibility 1 mile or less in flurries.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water moderate freezing spray ending this afternoon. Moderate freezing spray beginning Tuesday morning becoming severe near noon Tuesday.

Temperatures minus 20 to minus 15 rising to minus 15 to minus 10 this afternoon then falling to minus 20 to minus 15 Tuesday morning.

Issued 4:00 AM NST 2 March 2015 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying low 995 mb located near Cape
Breton Island.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 968 mb located near Newfoundland.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from the Grand Banks to
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday ridge located east of Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday intensifying trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM NST 2 March 2015 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will track northeastward
from Newfoundland to the Belle Isle Bank tonight and then southeast
of the Labrador Sea on Tuesday. Gale to storm force northerlies and
northeasterlies will develop north of this feature over southern
waters on Tuesday.

A trough of low pressure will also develop over the Northwest
Labrador Sea tonight and then strengthen Tuesday while remaining
quasi-stationary. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop
west of this trough on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for the North Labrador Coast, South
Labrador Sea - northwestern half and Northwest Labrador Sea -
southwestern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all open waters.
