Synopsis

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NST 19 November 2017 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located over Belle
Isle Bank.

At 4:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching low 975 mb located southwest
of Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:45 AM NST 19 November 2017 A trough of low pressure south of the marine district will continue
its slow northeastwards track today. Gale force east to
northeasterlies over southeastern waters will continue through
tonight while gradually spreading northward.

Meanwhile, a strong low pressure system will approach Labrador from
the southwest tonight. Gale force easterlies will strengthen to storm
force southeasterlies over the Labrador Sea on Monday ahead of this
system.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.
