Wind southeast 15 knots increasing to southeast 25 early this evening then becoming west 25 late this evening. Wind increasing to west 35 after midnight then diminishing to west 20 to 25 Wednesday morning except northwest 10 to 15 over southern sections.

A few showers ending near midnight. Fog patches over southern sections late this afternoon and this evening.

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 24 May 2016 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 997 mb located over the North Labrador
Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 998 mb located northeast of the
East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over northern Quebec.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday trough located southeast of the Marine
District.

By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching ridge located over northern
Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:52 PM NDT 24 May 2016 A low pressure system over the North Labrador Coast will track across
the northern part of the marine district tonight. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will develop behind this low, and will diminish
on Wednesday as the low dissipates over the coast of Greenland.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea.
