Wind increasing to southeast 15 Monday afternoon and to southeast 20 to 30 Monday evening except southeast 35 northwest of Estevan Point.

Periods of rain ending near midnight. A few showers beginning Monday evening.

By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight trough located over Haida Gwaii.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Monday ridge located over Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Monday ridge located over BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Monday deepening low located off Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:29 AM PST 21 December 2014 A trough of low pressure will reach the offshore waters on this
afternoon and approach Haida Gwaii late this evening. Moderate to
strong southwest winds will rise to strong to gale force southwest
this afternoon ahead of the trough.

A ridge of high pressure will bring light winds to southern waters on
Monday, while an approaching low will give gale to storm force winds
to the offshore waters.
