Issued 10:30 AM PDT 29 August 2015 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line north-south
over Hecate Strait.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today dissipating frontal system located on a
line north-south over northern Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough located on a line north-south
over Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight dissipating trough located on a line
north-south over Queen Charlotte Sound.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today low 990 mb located off Tofino.
By 2:00 p.m. PDT today weakening low located over northern
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today approaching cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 11:04 AM PDT 29 August 2015 An intense 990 MB low just west of Vancouver Island will move
Across Northern Vancouver Island, then into the interior and
dissipate this afternoon. Gale force southeasterlies are occurring
over South Coast waters this morning. This intense system is also
bringing a line of thunderstorms west of the island, which will
continue across the South Coast this afternoon. Behind the
Low, gale force south to southwest winds will continue this
Afternoon and into early this evening.

Over northern waters, a second but weaker frontal system, is crossing
Hecate Strait. A low pressure centre dropping from the north will
bring another round of gales to the north and Central Coast on
Sunday, then spread to the South Coast on Sunday evening.
