At 4:00 a.m. PST today low 1017 mb located west of Tofino.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today low 1015 mb located south of Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM PST 24 February 2017 An area of high pressure will remain west of the offshore waters. An
low pressure center forming near Tofino will drift southwards through
today. A trough of low pressure will sweep down the North Coast late
Saturday.

Strong to gale force northeasterlies will continue this morning,
northwest of the Tofino low. Northern waters will see an increase to
strong to gale force northerly winds on Saturday morning. These winds
will spread southwards Saturday afternoon, keeping west of Vancouver
Island.
