Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:49 AM PDT 25 June 2017 A trough of low pressure just off Southern Vancouver Island this
morning will shift inland this evening while a ridge of high pressure
offshore slowly builds towards the North Coast.
Light winds through Juan de Fuca Strait will shift to strong to gale
force westerlies this evening as the through moves inland. Elsewhere,
light to moderate northwest winds will gradually increase today and
tonight as the ridge builds. Gale force northwest winds are forecast
to develop through Johnstone Strait and off Central Vancouver Island
early this evening.
