By 4:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today deepening low located off Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening low located over northern Haida
Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 AM PST 22 December 2014 A ridge of high pressure along the BC outer coast will shift
Eastward to lie over the interior this afternoon. A low pressure
centre developing offshore this morning will track northeastward to
lie near Northern Haida Gwaii on Tuesday afternoon.

The ridge of high pressure will bring light to moderate northwesterly
winds to most waters this morning while the developing low will
Give gale to storm force winds to the offshore waters this afternoon.
Gale to storm force southeast winds will spread to southwestern
Haida Gwaii and Western Queen Charlotte Sound this evening.

On Tuesday gale to storm force southwesterly winds to the south of
the low centre will spread to most waters from Northern Vancouver
Island northwards. There will also be a very high wave heights
associated with the low that will push significant swell of over 8
metres to Southwestern Haida Gwaii and Queen Charlotte Sound on
Tuesday.
