Wind southeast 30 to 40 knots except southeast 50 northwest of Estevan Point this afternoon. Wind becoming southwest 25 to 35 early this evening then becoming southwest 20 to 30 late overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 30 to 40 Friday evening.
Rain changing to a few showers this evening with risk of thunderstorms.
There is no ice forecast issued for this area.

Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 10:30 AM PST 18 December 2014 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 7:00 p.m. PST tonight weakening frontal system located on a
line north-south over Hecate Strait.
At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located west of the offshore waters.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Friday trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over the offshore waters.
At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday approaching frontal system located west
of the offshore waters.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:17 AM PST 18 December 2014 An intense frontal system is moving across the BC coast today. Ahead
of the front, storm to hurricane force southeasterlies over northern
and central waters will shift to strong southerlies in its wake.
Strong southeasterlies over the inner South Coast waters will rise to
gale force this afternoon. Very high seas will build, reaching up to
9 metres over northern and central waters.
On Friday a trough of low pressure will track across northern waters.
Ahead of the trough, gale force southeasterlies will develop over the
offshore waters tonight and spread to the North Coast Friday morning.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterly behind the
