By 4:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday ridge located over the Alaska panhandle
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:51 PM PDT 3 May 2016 A building ridge of high pressure over Queen Charlotte Sound
extending southward is bringing strong to gale force westerlies to
Juan de Fuca Strait tonight. As the ridge builds further on
Wednesday, northwest gales will develop over Northwestern Vancouver
island and Explorer Wednesday afternoon.
