Wind southwest 30 to 40 knots diminishing to southwest 20 to 30 near noon and to southerly 10 to 20 early this evening. Wind backing to southeast 25 after midnight then increasing to southeast 35 overnight. Wind increasing to southeast 40 to 50 Monday morning then becoming southerly 35 to 45 Monday afternoon.

A few showers with a risk of thunderstorms changing to rain near midnight.

Issued 4:00 AM PDT 22 October 2017 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today weakening low 984 mb located north of Bowie.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT today dissipating low 1002 mb located over the
Alaska panhandle.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday deepening low 996 mb located southwest
of Bowie.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Monday low 990 mb located over the Alaska
panhandle.

At 11:00 a.m. PDT today building ridge located over the South Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:47 AM PDT 22 October 2017 A low pressure centre north of Bowie is spreading strong to gale
force southwesterlies off the outer coast, with local storm force
southwesterlies over the offshore waters this morning. Winds will
ease to moderate to strong southwesterly this afternoon as the low
weakens over the Alaska Panhandle and a ridge of high pressure
Builds over the South Coast.

A deepening low will approach Bowie from the southwest tonight to
reach the Alaska Panhandle as a 990 millibar low Monday afternoon.
Ahead of the low, winds will rise to southerly gales offshore
overnight, and to storm force southerlies Monday morning over the
northern and central waters. Winds will shift to gale force
westerlies in the wake of the low then ease to strong Monday
Evening. The associated front will remain over the central
Waters Monday night with southerly gales persisting.
