Wind diminishing to west 10 to 15 early Tuesday afternoon then backing to south 20 early Tuesday evening. Wind increasing to southeast 35 to 45 late Tuesday evening.
Rain at times heavy ending late overnight. Rain beginning early Tuesday evening.

Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:14 PM PDT 16 October 2017 A cold front over Northern Vancouver Island will move across the
South Coast tonight and early Tuesday morning. Strong to gale force
southerly winds over the southern waters will shift to strong to
Gale force northwesterlies in the wake of the front.
Another frontal system will approach the northern and central waters
late Tuesday. Winds will rise quickly to gale to storm force
southeasterlies ahead of the system Tuesday night.
