Issued 4:00 AM PST 20 December 2014 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Outer Coast.
By 10:00 a.m. PST today departing frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Mainland Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located over Explorer.
By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight departing trough located over the Lower
Mainland.

At 1:00 p.m. PST Sunday approaching trough located over the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:58 AM PST 20 December 2014 An fairly intense Pacific frontal system will move through the coast
this morning. Then a trough of low pressure will move through the
South Coast this evening. The next trough of low pressure will reach
the offshore waters Sunday afternoon.

Widespread storm force southeasterlies will prevail ahead of the
frontal system this morning from Northern Vancouver Island
northwards, with gales expected in the far south. Winds will shift to
strong to gale force southwesterly in its wake. Winds will back to
southerly ahead of the incoming trough this afternoon and will veer
to strong to gale force westerly behind it this evening. Strong to
gale force south or southwest winds will continue Sunday as the next
trough approaches the coast. High seas will reach up to 8 metres off
Vancouver Island and the central part of the coast this morning.
