Wind southeast 15 to 20 knots increasing to southeast 20 to 30 near midnight and to southeast 30 to 40 early Saturday morning. Wind diminishing to southeast 10 to 20 early Saturday afternoon then veering to southwest 15 to 25 Saturday evening.
A few showers changing to rain near midnight.

Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:29 PM PST 19 December 2014 An fairly intense Pacific frontal system will reach the outer coast
overnight and will make its way inland Saturday morning.
Widespread storm force southeasterlies will develop ahead of the
system tonight from Northern Vancouver Island northwards, with gales
expected in the far south. Winds will shift to strong to gale force
southwesterly in its wake. Seas will remain high, reaching up to 8
metres off Vancouver Island and the central part of the coast with
