Issued 4:00 PM PDT 8 October 2015 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By midnight PDT tonight weakening frontal system located on a line
east-west over Hecate Strait.

At 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight deepening low 980 mb located west of
By 5:00 a.m. PDT Friday low 966 mb located over western Bowie.

At 2:00 a.m. PDT Friday intensifying cold front located west
of Explorer.
By 8:00 a.m. PDT Friday cold front located over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 PM PDT 8 October 2015 Stormy conditions will prevail over the next few days as a series of
lows and frontal systems affect the BC coast, with the most intense
storm forecast for tonight and Friday.

Gale to storm force southeasterlies are occurring in a swath from
Vancouver Island northward. These winds will strengthen tonight to
storm to hurricane force as a second frontal system with a deep 970
millibar low incorporating the remnants of hurricane oho moves
northward through Bowie tonight.

Waves will also be high with this series of storm systems, building
up to 10 metres for areas of the North Coast.
