Issued 4:00 PM PST 23 January 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. PST today building ridge located off the Central Coast.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south over
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located over western Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located on a line
north-south over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:26 PM PST 23 January 2017 A building ridge of high pressure off the Central Coast will settle
over Vancouver Island on Tuesday, bringing mostly light to moderate
winds over the coast except for local strong northwesterlies off the
west coast of Vancouver Island tonight.

A frontal system will be approaching the northern offshore waters
tonight and Tuesday, leading to strong to gale force southeasterlies
developing over the far north.
