Wind southeast 10 to 20 knots increasing to southeast 20 to 30 near noon then diminishing to southerly 10 to 20 early this evening. Wind diminishing to variable 5 to 10 late this evening except southwest 20 near Qualicum Beach. Wind becoming southerly 10 to 20 late overnight then becoming northwest 5 to 15 Wednesday afternoon.
Showers. Risk of thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 4:00 PM PDT 1 September 2015 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today low 998 mb located over southern Haida Gwaii.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight weakening low 999 mb located over eastern
Queen Charlotte Sound.
At 5:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday quasi-stationary trough located from
Prince Rupert to Port Hardy.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:29 AM PDT 1 September 2015 A low centre to the northwest of Haida Gwaii will move southeastwards
to lie off the central BC coast this evening.
Strong to gale force west or northwest winds will continue over the
offshore waters with increasing southerly winds over South Coast
waters as the low moves towards the Central Coast. The gale force
northwest winds over the offshore waters will ease to moderate to
strong on Wednesday as the low weakens and forms a weak trough along
the BC coast.
