northwestern Bowie.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT today departing low 960 mb located off the Alaska

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today intensifying cold front located over
northwestern Vancouver Island.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT today departing cold front located over the
Coast Mountains.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today low 976 mb located over southern Bowie.
By 8:00 p.m. PDT tonight departing low 980 mb located over the
southern Alaska panhandle.

At midnight PDT tonight low 986 mb located west of Explorer.
By 2:00 p.m. PDT Saturday low 987 mb located over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:22 AM PDT 9 October 2015 Stormy conditions will prevail over the next few days as a series of
lows and frontal systems affect the BC coast. An intense area of low
pressure incorporating the remnants of hurricane oho will deepen to
960 millibars today as it moves northward toward the Alaskan
Panhandle. A second low centre will track northeastward across Haida
Gwaii this afternoon.

Storm to hurricane force winds over most areas from Northern
Vancouver Island northwards will weaken slightly this afternoon. Seas
will continue to build up to 9 metres for parts of the North Coast.
Winds will veer to gale to storm force southerly over most central
and northern waters as the second low approaches this afternoon.

A third low centre will bring gale force winds to the central part of
the coast Friday night and Saturday.
