Issued 4:00 AM PDT 28 July 2016 Today Tonight and Friday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM PDT 28 July 2016 A nearly stationary ridge of high pressure extending from well
offshore toward the Central Coast will slowly shift northward to lie
over Haida Gwaii by this afternoon. Under this pattern, strong to
gale force northwesterly winds will prevail over most southern
waters.

Gale force northwesterlies off west coast Vancouver Island and
southeastern half of Explorer will continue through Friday. The
strong northwesterlies through Johnstone Strait will rise to gale
force this afternoon. Westerly winds through Juan de Fuca Strait will
flirt with gales this evening.
