Issued 4:00 PM PDT 29 July 2016 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:58 PM PDT 29 July 2016 A nearly stationary ridge of high pressure extends from well
Offshore toward Haida Gwaii. Under this pattern, strong to
Gale force northwesterly winds will prevail over most southern
waters.

Gale force northwesterlies off west coast Vancouver Island,
southeastern half of Explorer and through Johnstone Strait will
continue through Saturday. Northwesterlies will also rise to marginal
gale force in the Southern Strait of Georgia tonight. Westerly winds
through Juan de Fuca Strait will rise to marginal gales this evening.
